Cuzzie reunited

It’s been a long time since we cousins meet up! So it’s really great to have some catching up sessions - shopping, movie, pillow talk, cam-whore, dinner and etc. Ever since we turned 18 (babyhood to childhood, childhood to adolescence, and adolescence to adulthood), we’re too busy with college, working and etc.. The busyness of life makes it very easy to forget memories from childhood. But then every picture(s) that we taken and every story (ies)and moment(s) that we shared, it will always be my sweetest memory. Even thou if I'm old and suffered from memory loss and forgetfulness, my memory will still triggered by all our old photos, childhood toys and etc.

So lets the photo(s) do all the talking..

More to come, i PROMISE !!

Friendship grooms thru sillyness

A good friend is someone we can count on, as well as being so much more.
A friend is someone with whom we can relax and just hang out, have fun and
share our innermost thoughts--deep dark secrets, lofty and noble goals, or
our hopes, joys, and fears. A good friend allows you a safe space to share
your deepest thoughts and needs--without worry of being judged, criticized
or made to feel silly for feeling the way you do. Friends cheer each other on,
laugh and cry together, and just plain commiserate and listen to each other.
That's why friends are friends

When we're first met
Act innocent (as usual)
5 seconds later : Sampatness strikes

Our friendship grooms in a very special way thru our stupidity and silliness *evil grins*

Unforgetable working experience

Warning: it’s a superb long winded post ahead, be PREPARED!!

I HATE MY CURRENT job which I have avoided naming in my blog. In light of recent events though, I really just don't care who knows but still I’m not naming it, to avoid being sued under DEFAMATION. Bah~ I really don't even know where to start, our politics are getting to be just nuts. We are officially in civil war, people taking advantage of favoritism, people playing increasingly mean and vicious practical jokes.

There is only 1 word to describe this company --> HORRIBLE
If there are 2 words to clarify, that’s gonna be --> SUPERB HORRIBLE

Over the past few months I have had very little success in staying happy in this evil company but I think I need to give up this job because I want to do more than just a receptionist therefore I decided to tender my resignation but soon enough I’ve been demoted on false accusations of work avoidance.

Here's the story: Last few weeks I tender my resignation, my lady boss and manager act so different from the first day I step into this company. My boss, manager and seniors are deliberately ignored me and putting me "out of the loop.

Well I was livid. I could not believe that they will banish me into a room just to answer call?!? Now I'm being placed on this 1 month notice in which I have to be the perfect little robot, get 100% quality on all my calls, conform to every little rule and basically show no emotion on the floor. So well, I’m going to do my very best until my last day but still they are giving me hard time.

Basically, I’m working in an all-women company; you can imagine all of the pointless chatter and two-faced comments that go on in there. I try my very best to not let it get to me but it's hard! Why can't people just be people????!!!! It really is an unattractive trait. I seriously stressed out with them although they are much older than me but act like 12-year-olds most of the time. Everyone is always bitching about each other, or passive-aggressively refusing to help out. She can just shout from the room to the front desk questioning me just because I can’t manage to pick up 2 calls on time? And she is too busy to pick up the call because she’s finally found something to scold me.

Well, basically my lady boss is someone sits in the office on the Internet, typing personal e-mails, phoning or just standing around bossing instead of working, undeniable she’s a good boss who is hard to deal with and has trouble directing and guiding employees to effectively, she’s totally a power mad tyrant. Not to say that she’s overly aggressive, controlling and micromanaging. She’s functionally incompetent boss, she is well-intentioned, but she’s lack of leadership and management skill eventually creates such confusion and turmoil that people are exhausted. Conclusion, we got a favorites-playing and snobby attitude boss.

And as for the management title and senior position, u need to have a good management skills or else people under you will get confused and frustrated of your lack of clarity and guidance. Anyhoo, do not scold people “STUPID”, “BABI BUTA” and etc.

Those around us in management positions, (team leads, sups, quality), 80% of them are on power hungry trips. They fail to realize that reps are the ones that run the business and do the most work, you always see them standing around doing nothing but pointing fingers and drinking coffee.

In fact, my manager are even worse as it's ok for them to take their own sweet time for an hour leaving their team with no support, not to mention the angry customers who get even angrier when there's no supervisor to talk to, and that's work avoidance?!? Moreover, it’s true that my manager is really a good rep in gossiping and backstabbing. She makes nasty comments about our colleagues; she snipes at the bosses and complains about the company. This is what u called as PROFESSIONALISM?!!

I am SO stressed at work. I have enough work for 2 or maybe 3 people to handle, but I managed to finish it, I work shitty hours. The multitasking skill is created by the KIAM SIAP boss so that they can pay less in order to hire more people, leaving us working like slaves?

And even thou, I’m sick but they disallowed me to see doctor. I told my senior that I’m physically sick – cough, fever and flu. But she insists me to go after work which it’s not claimable if we go after office hour. DAMMIT !! and if we do, they will scold us STUPID to go after office hour as its not claimable.

My job scope really SUCKS!!!! It is SO boring...I do the exact same thing every single day – calls, mails… which totally blows! I’m actually doing receptionist work altho I’m a PR executive. I just can't stand this company. It's petty ridiculous bullshit. The pay is good, but I have to answer phone calls, deal with nasty callers, etc. Where is all the promises ? Mainly I'm just SO fucking sick of the company itself and having stupid de-brief sessions on every evening after office hour. It takes all I have to haul my ass in there every evening for an hour. I'd much rather trapped in the jam.

Not only that, my lady boss give me a nasty look asking me “FINISH YOUR LUNCH?!!!!” last Fri as its only less than 20 minutes. OK FINE! And now, I totally have no chance to eat early nemore as I’m soon to leave the company so t4 I don’t have the privilege!!!! AND everyone starts to have this thing calls “PREJUDICE” on whatever things that I’ve done. Twisting the fact, blaming me for no reason and without giving me a chance to explain or defend myself. Lady boss forbid me to answer any calls, saying that I’m too immature to handle it and insist me to pass along to my manager and yet manager pushing their junior “me” to handle demanding clients or callers nevertheless I am still the one to be hold responsible for any circumstances. I’m hire to this company for blameworthiness purposes position. GREAT!!!

Seriously, I’m so upset when this happened on Friday. Believe me; I couldn't even speak that day because I was so pissed off. If I had to talk to anyone after being told I was demoted again, chances are I would have ripped them to pieces which would have only made the situation worse.

Unfortunately, they've already gone through this city and they have a bad reputation here. For a company that is so desperate to get people to fill the seats because they are losing more people than they hire, they certainly aren't doing much to keep the people they have, especially 4 year veterans like ****** . And FYI, I leave because of your employees the so-called supervisors, not companies. I hope my leaving serve as a wake up call for all of you. SHAME ON YOU !!

My new craving "GLADIATOR"

Loving shoes will never be something I stop doing. Especially if I manage to find shoes that not only look good, but are good for me too.

Driving Life in Kay Ell *snort*

Driving in Malaysia is traumatizing, horrifying and sickening. Everyday stress driving to work, stress of office's politics and workloads, after work stress of driving back home. No wonder 80% of KL-ians nowadays suffer from anxiety and I’m yet to be one of them

Driving in Malaysia is MEMANG an everlasting stress. Now I understand why people find driving in Malaysia a bit too daunting. Everyday is a must for me to curse while I’m driving~ Ci Bai all come out, I try to be feminine but not during I’m driving lorh.

People here use signals only after they have made the pass. If you signal in advance, the cars behind will speed up to fill up that gap, preventing your car from filtering into the next lane. Not all but 99.9% of them lorh, they will do whatever it takes not to allow people to jump queue on the road.

Usage of the honk is frequent. Even if they are 50m behind you, and they spotted a slight inching of your car towards their lane, the HONNNNNK wailed till they get past you (at accerated speed of course!) and followed by "what-do-you-think-you-are-doing" stare as they pass you or with finger gestures.

FYI honk is not usable in KL as no matter how many times u honk, the traffic is still the SAME

Everyday, you will only listen to me grumble and suffered the pain of the increasingly hectic and torrid life in KL. Jams eat into the petrol and time and reduced the distance that we can run. That’s suck!

And I almost killed zillion of motorcyclist in just a month, not my fault (of cos).. to that damn-deserve-to-die motorcyclists, RED means stop!!! Simplest rule of all! Pay less road tax but want to occupy the whole road. You think u’r father’s road meh. Remember to look trice (not twice) before swerving because there are motorbikes that will come out of nowhere from time to time. So be EXTRA careful!

Simple advice: Be extra careful when your car is involved in an accident with a motorcyclist. Apparently, in the absence of concrete evidence, the courts will always give the benefit of the doubt to the motorcyclist (even though the motorcyclist is the perpetrator!), unless you can prove that there were mitigating circumstances (0.0001% successful)

Not only do motorcyclists flout the traffic rules, but when they get into accidents, the law backs them up!

KL has a superb network of toll highways with new ones being added all the time. Driving is not aggressive but tends to be a bit careless. The accident rate is high, so drive defensively. OPS, should I said we should stop DRIVING ?!

I'm sure a lot of you know, KL has a very serious traffic problem. There are two causes that get the majority of the press (geography and highways that don't support the population) and the most important is when you discover that there’s accident, some wonderful lookie-loo WILL slowed down to “Keh Po” and caused a chain reaction that forces everyone else to slow down as well. Why why why? Don’t tell me that they want to record the registration number of the car which is a max of 4 for their permutations when they buy 4D lottery. So every accident is a source for potentially 'lucky' numbers ? Oh~pleassseeee!

After office hour is the time to catch the peak hour of traffic congestion. Well it was not too bad because the weather was good. It gets worse when it rains, the heavier, the longer the queue, the slower the movement...

This society sucks you into the norm quickly and if we are not self-conscious, I could come one of them soon. Impatient, unforgiving, honking, motorist!

I'm no longer a Mummy's little girl

It’s been really depressing lately to go to office so I’ve decided that I shall tender my resignation..

Type type type type~~~

I’ll lose all my drive for life and end up being a mentally disrupt person
So I make up my mind and hereby officially tender my resignation as an adult.
In answer to your TOP in mind question. No, I do not have a job lined up. Yes, this will likely be difficult financially. But my job is EVEN WORSE than being unemployed. Boohoo!

So I left a 55 hours a week job to live off the money I had saved slaving in it, nothing grabbed me. Make the move with something in mind and some way to support myself. Good luck to MYSELF !!

I’ve been hoping and praying and begging for this day for FEW months. And finally, I’m done with this evil empire, well as of next month I will be. This whole process began about 3 months ago. I can’t believe it, within months I went from being miserable of dead end position to giving notice!

And now I did it fantastically, I dunno, I guess I’m still just wowed.
And the satisfaction of tendering my resignation letter. Ahhh~~ It was beautiful. I’m so glad, finally I make up my mind to quit, as it got that out of my system. It was just so good, although having people just look and KNOW, without even asking. It must have been the smile, the spring in my step, the twinkle in my eye…. yeah, it was probably the giant shit eating grin that said SEE YA MUTHAFUKKAS!

The reason behind :- hostile work environment, long hours, zero vacation time, improper management, immature management, no workstation, you-know-everything attitude and bla bla bla

“This resignation is effective immediately and is non-negotiable.”
Her response?
“As expected!!”
My respond ?
“GLAD you do!”

To end the ennui, I tendered my resignation on 16 September. I’m not leaving just yet though, there’s a ONE-month notice period that I have to serve up – absolutely brutal. Usually when the thought emerges that it’s time to go, you kinda want to leave NOW, to drag it out over one month… but all along I knew that was the case, so in a way I was mentally prepared for it. There might be a mass exodus during this month. But hey, I did it! By the time I bid my fond farewell, I would have achieved my first benchmark, a goal I had set myself. So you see, I can survive. I did survive. And no, no regrets whatsoever. I have had a blast here.

And when I say “fond farewell”, there is not a trace of sarcasm either. Yep, the people and their quirks no longer irritate or disconcert me. I just laugh and shirk it off, accepting and appreciating all their perfect imperfections. As for social and work-related twists and turns, come, join in the game. See it for the game that it is and strategize your move to your best advantage, one that would serve to amuse and ease your final days. Why take it so seriously? Don’t sweat the small stuff. In the bigger scheme of things, we are mere players.
